About me...
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed clinical addictions specialist (LCAS). I have over 10 years of post-graduate experience providing evidenced-based treatment to men, women, and adolescent girls. I specialize in women's issues, dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders, chronic illness/pain issues, mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, personality disorders, spirituality issues, and life transition issues.
I earned my master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work. I specialized in mental health and substance abuse. I received my bachelors' degree from the University of Richmond. My experience has been in outpatient clinics and residential settings. I have worked with men and women with chronic addiction, mental illness and other issues, incarcerated adolescent girls, women veterans, and women with young children. I split my time between non-profit work and private practice.
I believe that certain principles/values apply to all of us regardless of our issues/problems.
